A NEW ORBIT FOR YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE
A lean Linux.
Built for inference.
Give your models the space they need. A purpose-built, Ubuntu-based operating system for bare-metal Kubernetes workers — with a smaller host and smarter image delivery.
Development images only. No stable release yet.

01 / THE FOUNDATION
The host has
one mission.
Run inference workloads. Keep everything else out of their way.
No desktop. No model framework baked into the host. Just the Linux foundation your cluster needs, assembled from Ubuntu packages with a read-only root and persistent runtime state.
Read the technical design02 / IMAGE DELIVERY
Pull together.
Start sooner.
Large inference images should travel intelligently. Dragonfly lets nodes share OCI blobs, with separate policies for runtime images and peer cache.
The first node fetches from origin.
The configured Dragonfly peer retrieves image blobs from the registry. Containerd keeps origin resolution over HTTPS and verifies OCI content digests.
Architecture illustration. End-to-end P2P qualification and performance measurements are pending.
03 / SMALLER SURFACE. CLEARER CONTROL.
Deliberate by default.
A read-only foundation
dm-verity protects the root filesystem against corruption. Signed boot and transactional A/B updates are required before stable.
eBPF where it counts
A Cilium profile for cluster networking and policy, with BPF and BTF checked in the image kernel. Local cross-node allow/deny tests pass.
Space with a lifecycle
Kubelet owns unused-image cleanup: 24-hour maximum age and disk-pressure thresholds. Dragonfly has its own six-hour cache TTL.
Security that earns its claims
CIS Ubuntu Level 1 Server is the target. Audit evidence, documented tailoring and vulnerability review are release gates. No certification claimed.
04 / THE FLIGHT PLAN
Every release
earns its orbit.
An explicit path from experiment to supported system. A version label follows evidence — never the other way around.
